EV = With EV, nine additional steps are required including verifying a businesses’ public phone number, length of time in business, registration number and jurisdiction, as well as a domain fraud check, contact blacklist check and a telephone call to authenticate the employment status of the requestor.
DV = Domain Validated (DV) certificates provide the lowest level of authentication, meaning anonymous entities can get a certificate. Jane Does meander at this level.
OV = Organization Validated (OV) certificates provide additional checks to ensure brand protections. Jane Doe can no longer hide in the shadows at this level.

Multi-Domain SSL
Multi-Domain Certificates, also called SAN certificates, offer boundless flexibility and complete control over the Subject Alternative Name field. And now, any DigiCert certificate can be configured to allow multi-domain. These certificates are ideal for securing many names across different domains and subdomains
WildCard
Wildcard certificates use Subject Alternative Names to secure a domain and all of its first-level subdomains. With a Wildcard certificate you use a wildcard character in your domain, such as example.com. This secures mail.example.com, example.com, and so forth. *.

Extended validation (EV) certificates are single-name certificates that were created to boost and maintain customer confidence. Online entities with this type of certificate can secure one domain and get EV-only browser cues such as the green branded URL in browsers.
EV Multi-Domain
Extended validation (EV) multi-domain certificates give you the flexibility of UC/SAN certificates with the user confidence and benefits of extended validation. Secure up to 25 domains, sites, or subdomains with one certificate. All of your secured domains will have green in the browser address bar that is only given to EV websites.
